Terms and conditions for submitting reviews to Thrifty Streamer

Agreement to Terms

By submitting a review to Thrifty Streamer, you agree to these Review Submission Terms. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not submit reviews.

These terms supplement our Community Guidelines and Privacy Policy. Please read all documents.

Your Content Ownership

You retain full ownership of the reviews, ratings, and feedback you submit to Thrifty Streamer. We do not claim ownership of your content.

What This Means:

You own the copyright to your review text
You can delete your reviews at any time
You can edit your reviews after publication
You can repost your reviews elsewhere

Requirement: You must be the original author of all content you submit. Plagiarism or copying reviews from other sources is strictly prohibited.

License You Grant to Us

While you retain ownership, you grant Thrifty Streamer a license to use your reviews:

You can still use your reviews elsewhere

Royalty-Free

We don't pay you for displaying your reviews

Worldwide

Your reviews can be viewed globally

Transferable

License continues if we're acquired

Sublicensable

We can work with partners to display reviews

Perpetual

License continues even if you delete your account

How We Use This License:

Display: Show your reviews on our website and mobile apps
Distribute: Share reviews through our platform and APIs
Modify: Format reviews for different devices and screen sizes
Reproduce: Create backups and copies for reliability
Publicly Perform: Display reviews in search results and aggregations
Create Derivatives: Generate summaries, highlights, or translations

In Plain English: We can display your review anywhere on our platform, format it for mobile devices, create summaries, and share it with partners. But you still own it and can use it elsewhere.

Our Moderation Rights

To maintain community quality and legal compliance, we reserve the right to:

Actions We May Take:

Review Before Publication: All reviews go through moderation before appearing publicly
Reject Content: Refuse to publish reviews that violate our Community Guidelines
Remove Content: Delete published reviews that violate guidelines or legal requirements
Edit for Safety: Redact personal information, illegal content, or extremely offensive material
Flag Accounts: Mark accounts with repeated violations for enhanced review
Suspend Posting: Temporarily or permanently restrict your ability to submit reviews

Important: Moderation decisions are made to protect the community, not to censor opinions. You can disagree with services - we only moderate for policy violations, not viewpoints. See our Content Moderation Policy for details.

Privacy and Anonymization

Your privacy is important to us. Here's how we handle your identity:

Public Display:

No Personal Info: Your name, email, and account details are never displayed publicly
Anonymous Attribution: Reviews show only as "Anonymous User" or a generic identifier
No Profile Links: Public reviews cannot be traced back to your account
Aggregate Data Only: Statistics may show aggregate patterns but never individual identities

Admin Visibility:

Accountability: Platform moderators and administrators can see your identity
Moderation: Necessary for enforcing guidelines and handling appeals
Abuse Prevention: Helps detect spam, ban evasion, and coordinated attacks
Legal Compliance: May be required for legal investigations or law enforcement

Your Edit and Delete Rights

Editing Reviews:

Anytime Edits: You can edit your reviews at any time through your account dashboard
Re-Moderation: Edited reviews may go through moderation again
Edit History: We track edit history for abuse detection (not publicly visible)
No Limitations: No limit on how many times you can edit

Deleting Reviews:

Instant Deletion: Delete any of your reviews instantly from your dashboard
Permanent Removal: Deleted reviews are removed from public view immediately
Database Retention: Reviews may remain in backups for 30 days for recovery purposes
Anonymized Preservation: Aggregated statistics may retain anonymous data

Account Deletion:

Full Deletion Available: You can delete your entire account and all data
Review Options: Choose to delete all reviews or leave them anonymized for community value
Permanent Action: Account deletion cannot be undone
30-Day Process: Complete deletion may take up to 30 days to process

Content Standards

By submitting a review, you represent and warrant that:

Original Work: The review is your original creation
True Experience: Based on your actual experience with the streaming service
No Infringement: Does not violate any copyright, trademark, or intellectual property rights
No Defamation: Does not contain false statements intended to harm others
Legal Compliance: Complies with all applicable laws and regulations
Guideline Compliance: Follows our Community Guidelines
Rights to Submit: You have the legal right to submit the content
Age Requirement: You are at least 13 years old (or 16 in EEA)

Prohibited Uses

You may NOT submit reviews if:

Not Your Experience: You're reviewing a service you haven't personally used
Paid Reviews: You're being paid or compensated to submit the review
Competitive Manipulation: You work for a competitor trying to harm another service
Astroturfing: Creating fake reviews or multiple accounts to manipulate ratings
Review Bombing: Coordinating with others to artificially inflate or deflate ratings
Affiliate Schemes: Including affiliate links or promotional codes
Automated Bots: Using scripts or bots to generate reviews
Harassment Campaign: Using reviews to harass individuals or companies

Limitation of Liability

Our Responsibility:

Platform Only: We provide a platform for reviews; we don't endorse specific content
No Warranty: Reviews are provided "as is" without warranty of accuracy
User Generated: All reviews reflect individual user opinions, not our views
Best Effort Moderation: We moderate content but can't guarantee all violations are caught

Your Responsibility:

Content Accuracy: You're responsible for the accuracy of your reviews
Legal Consequences: You're liable for any legal issues arising from your content
Indemnification: You agree to indemnify Thrifty Streamer against claims from your content
Dispute Resolution: You'll resolve disputes directly with affected parties

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Review Submission Terms from time to time:

Notification: We'll post updates on this page with a new "Effective Date"
Email Notice: Significant changes will be announced via email
Continued Use: Submitting reviews after changes means you accept the new terms
Existing Content: New terms apply to all existing and future submissions
